The information in this website relates to North America Indigenous Affairs Habitat Redevelopment. The principal owner of 1 Feather and family members have a Cree bloodline dated back to 1780’s. At that time a beautiful Native Cree woman named, Mistigoose, married Robert Goodwin, a surgeon for the Hudson’s Bay Company. Mistigoose’s daugther, Caroline Catherine Goodwin born 1783, married into the Hudson / Hodgson family in 1799. Caroline Catherine Hudson gave birth to a daughter named, Elizabeth Hudson in 1810. Elizabeth married and gave birth to a daughter in 1843 named, Teresa Sicard. Teresa Sicard married into Corbeau/Villemaire/Villemere family bloodline that exists in our family today. The Corbeau/Villemaire/Villemere family tree is mainly of French origins dating back to France in the 1647 era. But, not all the Corbeau/Villemaire/ Villemere family members hold the Cree bloodline. Teresa Sicard married Alexandre Corbeau Villemaire who had 11 siblings. Only the descendants of Alexandre and Teresa carried the Cree bloodline in the Corbeau/Villemaire/Villemere family tree. The principal owner of 1 Feather is one of the descendants and is a Metis Citizen.
